Papers for congress proceedings
Presenters are invited to send the complete paper for publication in the seminar proceedings to the Organising Committee by October 31, 2008 (e-mail contact: ishpes2008@spordimuuseum.ee). Please follow the the Guidelines for Paper Submission for Proceedings. The Scientific Committee will review and decide on the selection of manuscripts to be published in the proceedings.
Guidelines for Paper Submission for Proceedings
The full version of the paper must be sent to the Organising Committee as an e-mail attachment by October 31, 2008 (contact: ishpes2008@spordimuuseum.ee) in order to be published in the congress proceedings. The papers must be written in good academic English.
The Scientific Committee will select papers to be published after reviewing all contributions received on time.
Contributors are asked to implement the following technical specifications:
the length of paper should not extend 600 lines with 75 characters (including all notes);
the names of historical persons or authors should not appear in the text in capitals but in normal format. Names of organisations and institutes are to be highlighted in the text by setting them in italics;
quotations longer than two lines should be separated from the text and indented 1cm each left and right, written in single spacing. Longer quotations in languages other than congress language (English) should be quoted in the original form within the text and then translated into English;
notes should be compiled separately at the end of the text and numbered consecutively. Since there is no bibliography, all bibliographical references should be contained within the notes. The first mention of a title should be in full, with any further mention in short form.

Quotes from journals should be cited as follows: The annual set should be mentioned first, then the respective year and finally the number of the volume. Newspapers are quoted only by mentioning the exact date.
The second and subsequent quotations can be written in short form. Mention of the author's or editor's surname (in CAPITALS), a short form of the title and the exact page is sufficient reference.

Further:
the use of abbreviations should fit the language of the article. This also applies to abbreviations within the bibliographical details (publ. or ed., vol., etc.);
if an article contains photographs, diagrams or drawings, theses should be sent in a readily reproducible form. All required permission for publishing such items must be obtained personally by the author.
